Isaac Osei goes for Subin

The Chief Executive Officer of Cocobod, Mr. Isaac Osei has officially declared his intentions to contest the parliamentary seat of Subin Constituency in Kumasi at a well attended congress last Sunday. The Congress which was mainly attended by party cohorts from both in and outside the Constituency was used by Mr. Isaac Osei as a platform to introduce himself to the delegates of the Subin Constituency in Kumasi and announce his intention to contest for the seat. He therefore appealed to delegates of the Constituency to give him the nod as their next representative in Parliament since according to him he possessed the qualities of a servant leader needed to propel the Subin Constituency to development and greater heihts.Mr Osei who until his appointment was Ghana’s High Commissioner to U.K called on politicians to go about their campaign activities in a peaceful manner and desist from the use of insults in their campaign messages . He further called for total unity in the ranks of the New Patriotic Party members to ensure victory in the forthcoming general elections.

Mr Osei pledged his unflinching support for the party flag bearer Nana Akuffo Addo to win more votes in the region in particular and nationwide as a whole.Mr. Isaac Osei who said he would pick his forms in the course of the week urged every Ghanaian who turns eighteen this year to register their names for the December elections while those who have already registered make it a point to verify that their names are still in the voter’s register. The Chairman for the Subin Constituency, Alhaji Baba Abdlai announced that the Constituency had opened nominations and urged all who wanted to contest to pick a form and go through the approved procedure. Earleir, the Campagin Co-ordinator for Mr Osei , Mr Fred Amponsah stated that Mr Osei was the best candidate for the Subin seat. He impressed upon the delegates of the Constituency to vote for no other but Mr Osei .


Currently, the Minister for Chieftaincy and Culture, Hon S.K Boafo is the Member of Parliament for Subin and has represented the people of Subin three times in Parliament since 1996.

Subin Constituency happens to be one of the biggest in the region and has under its wings, Adum, the Central business district of Kumasi.
