A lead member of the NDC has said that it's very embarrassing for someone to disclose his doctorate title in public due to how Dr. Bawumia's incompetence has exposed him.

Doubting his credibility as a truly learned doctor, Dr. Williams said he wonders why a whole doctor like Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who hailed himself as an economic wizkid and a great statistician, could not manage the economy.

He said the abysmal performance put up by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is the current leader of the economic management team, has made it very difficult for most Ghanaians to trust doctorate holders.

According to him, people doubt those with doctorate titles in Ghana due to Dr. Bawumia's failure, which has led to the collapse of many businesses and companies and has also led to the current sufferings of many Ghanaians.

"With the bad initiative of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, many companies have collapsed in Ghana. Because of the forty taxes he has implemented, this is the person who said we can even use tollbooths to manage the economy. Now, he went in for loan facilities. In the whole of Africa, Ghana is the most indebted country, and this is a person who is now vying to become president.

"Ghanaians must know that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a liar; he is a scam who has no locus to lead," he said.

According to Dr. Williams Atta Owusu, he always gets disappointed whenever he sees people supporting and defending Dr. Bawumia.

He added that the latter has nothing good to offer Ghanaians.

The NDC stalwart has, however, appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for the former president and NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

"When it comes to development and good governance, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia doesn't match John Dramani Mahama anywhere. John Dramani Mahama is in politics; he is like Yaa Asantewaa, Nana Prempeh, and Komfo Anokye, especially when it comes to development in the Ashanti Region."

Touting John Mahama's achievements in the Ashanti Region, he suggested that there was an urgent need to build his statue in the region to serve as a memorial plaque.
