The National Organizer and Acting General Secretary of the governing NPP, John Boadu, has on Wednesday, May 23, rounded up his campaign tour of the Brong Ahafo Region with a strong commitment to empowering and resourcing the grassroots of the party for victory 2020 and beyond.
John Boadu, who is contesting for the General Secretary position of the party, acknowledged the legendary sacrifices of the grassroots which culminated in the party's resounding victory at the last polls and said, the NPP's continuous stay in office depends largely on how these grassroots are being satisfied by the governing elite.
He thus vowed to ensure that the expectations of the party's grassroots are, at all times, met by officialdom and for that matter appointees of His Excellency President Akufo-Addo. Improving party-government relationship, he says, remains his number one priority.
It is for this reason that he has resolved to visit each of the 275 constituencies in the country, to among other things, assess the state of the party at the grassroot and commit to improving the lot of the party's rank and file, which move has been hailed by all the stakeholders of the party.
His tour of the Brong Ahafo Region saw him visiting each of the 29 constituencies of the region where he interacted with party executives at the regional and constituency level as well as MMDCEs, MPs and other identifiable stakeholders of the party in the region.
He visited the Asunafo South, Asunafo North, Asutifi South, Asutifi North, Banda, Tain, Pru East, Pru West, Sene East, Sene West and the Atebubu Constituencies on the last leg of his Brong Ahafo Regional tour, after he took a break to complete the filing of his Nomination last week.
