John Kumah descends on Spio-Garbrah over ethnocentric comments

Chief Patron of Young Patriots, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken to the cleaners National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate hopeful, Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah for ethnocentric comments he made against the Akufo-Addo led government.

“It is untrue and below the belt for him and NDC people to think NPP is tilted against any tribe”, , Lawyer John Kumah responded.

“It is the NDC which has the penchant of dividing the people on tribal lines any time in government not us”, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP) alleged.

The former Trades Minister revived his attacks on the NPP indicating that whether in opposition or in government they are against certain tribes particularly people of Northern extraction without evidence

According to the astute politician, the opposition NDC accommodates non-Akans while the same could not be said about its arch political rival, the NPP.

This has received several condemnations from the public including the leadership of the governing NPP.

Speaking to the former minister’s claims on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM’s morning show, the chief patron, Lawyer John Kumah condemned Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah’s tribal utterances.

“I will urge him and every well meaning member of NDC to desist from such divisive comments”, Lawyer John Kumah admonished on Kukratumi show hosted by Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.

“It will not help them and the unity of the country”, he advised.
