'John Mahama is ungrateful' - Akua Donkor laments

The Founder of the Ghana Freedom Party's (GFP), Mrs. Akua Donkor has opined that former President John Mahama is ungrateful for not recognizing her contributions to his political ambition.

Her comments follow after the NDC delegates across the country have elected former President John Mahama as their 2020 presidential candidate. He secured 213,443 votes representing 95.24% of the total vote cast

Madam Akua Donkor who until now, had always referred to former President John Mahama as her son, lamented on how she has been neglected by Mr. Mahama and urged Ghanaians not to put their trust in him.

The maverick politician cum farmer in an interview with Akwasi Nsiah on Kasapa News and monitored by Daniel Kaku, stated she has had a change of mind about Mr. Mahama after he denied her access to a house at Sakumono which she supported him to build for her.

Akua Donkor said upon all the defence that she gave to former President John Mahama when he was the president of Ghana, has not been appreciated.

She revealed that after the 2016 elections, she has been prevented from seeing Mr John Mahama by Mrs. Lordina Mahama and some security men at Mr. Mahama's house in Accra.

She lamented that former President Mahama has prevented her from having access to a house that she (Akua Donkor) contributed at Sakumono.

“I told John Mahama that I don’t have money to buy land at Sakumono so when he started building the flats which at the moment is twelve floors complete at Sakumono, I gave him gold in exchange of a house within the flats. He later asked some persons to lead me to the flat and show me on which floor I’ll be staying and I later told the whole world that Mahama had given me a house. I stay in a hotel whenever I come to Accra so a few days ago, I decided to move into the house at Sakumono, but Mahama sent some people to stop me and turned round to tell me that President Akufo-Addo doesn’t want me to stay in that building. That day I had to sleep on the compound of the MPs flat till the next day", she lamented

She added “I’ve suffered a lot because of John Mahama, I’ve gone through hell because of my support for him. But now he’s stabbed me in the back and I regret ever campaigning for him. I feel so bad that I just can’t forgive myself.”

In 2016, Madam Akua Donkor told the world that then-President John Dramani Mahama gave her two Pajero vehicles and a three bedroom house.

She, therefore, described former President John Mahama as a 'wicked' person and charged Ghanaians not give him another chance to become a president of Ghana not to come to amass wealth.

“I’m telling Ghanaians that John Mahama is not seeking power to come and improve their lives of Ghanaians, but rather to plunder the state and continue amassing wealth and making more properties. He has unfinished business to do in power, John Mahama has several properties including estates and shopping malls", she opined.

Mrs. Akua Donkor vowed to expose former President John Mahama more in the coming days.

She seized the opportunity to commend President Akufo-Addo for appointing Jean Mensa as EC boss adding that Jean Mensa is the best commissioner "In fact, President Akufo-Addo has done well for appointing Jean Mensa, this woman respects human being and she respects human being than Charlotte Osei John Mahama appointed.
