A member of the youth associations in the northern regions of Ghana has advised members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and members of the Council of State to take immediate steps in finding out whether the MP for Assin Fosu, Mr. Kennedy Agyepong is a frustrated man.
“I think he (Ken Agyepong) may be having some difficulties with his businesses and possibly looking for something to hang his frustrations on, otherwise his comments don’t come as normal,” the youth leader, Mr. John Adongo proffered.
“It elders in the NPP and may be the council of state members should get closer to him, talk to him and find out what exactly may be wrong with him and find ways to help him out,” Mr. Adongo continued.
According to Adongo, the MPs warmongering could not just be as a result of his politics, saying, “it cannot just be about his desire to get his party into power. Something may be troubling him.”
The youth leaders’ observation stem from numerous reports including the media monitoring reports by the West Africa Media Foundation that have consistently rated the MPs public utterances as foul, intemperate, insulting, genocidal and outright fabrication.
“Ken Agyepong cannot be that foolish to think if there is war in this country, it will affect only NDC or non NPP persons. He can’t be that stupid. He knows that bullets don’t discriminate. He knows he has relatives who are as vulnerable to any occurrence of violence as the little boys and girls in the streets who are hawking in harsh conditions just to make a living. In other words, he can equally be pained by war just as what he wishes for his opponents. So what is his motivation? May be he owes people, partners and is looking for the occurrence of election violence to blame it on,” the deep thinking youth leader commented.
According to Mr. Adongo, he has watched videos of the Liberian and Sierra Leonean wars on youtube and those who thought war in these countries was the trouble of others were caught laughing on wrong side of events. “That should tell everybody, whether you are an MP, pastor, cleaner or whoever that when the game comes on, all will be playing it, no two ways about that”, he cautioned, adding, the pastors and elders of the NPP and the council of state need to work to forestall trouble.
