Kintampo South NPP members elect new leaders

Jema (B/A), Aug. 30, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Kintampo South has elected a nine-member new executive to manage the affairs of the Party and also prepare the grounds for the Party to win the parliamentary seat next year. Mr Charles Kwadwo Appiah, Assembly Member for Paninamisa was elected Chairman, Owoahene Acheampong, First Trustee, Nana Baffo Pain, second Trustee and Mr Opoku Nyame, Secretary.

Mr Charles Kwadwo Appiah, Assembly Member for Paninamisa was elected Chairman, Owoahene Acheampong, First Trustee, Nana Baffo Pain, second Trustee and Mr Opoku Nyame, Secretary. Others are Mr Opoku Mensah, Assistant Secretary, Mr Yaw Adjei, Organiser. Mr. William Adu-Abass, Youth Organiser, Mr. C. K. Gyamfi, Treasurer and Miss Janet Asamoah, Women's organiser. Mr. Kwasi Adu-Gyamfi, Brong-Ahafo Regional First vice chairman, commended the delegates for conducting the election peacefully. He urged them to maintain such cooperative spirit and eschew petty squabbles, gossiping and back-biting, saying such attitudes could divide their ranks and thus affect programmes and activities of the party. Mr. Yaw Adjei-Duffour, District Chief Executive, commended members of the Party for "the spirit of unity and cooperation" amongst them, which he said, would help advance the development of the district. He called on them to bury their differences and work harder to enable the NPP to win the parliamentary seat, which is currently being held by the main opposition National Democratic Congress.
