Due to the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus which is fast spreading and the ban on social gatherings though the restrictions have been eased, Former President Jerry John Rawlings held a virtual durbar to commemorate the 41st anniversary of the June 4 uprising.
The programme was on the theme, “Strengthening the spirit of patriotism, resilience and integrity in difficult times”.
Key stakeholders present at the durbar include, Koku Anyidoho and other members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
On June 4, 1979, members of the military, especially the junior ranks, took over the governance of Ghana after the country was swamped with corruption.
