Mrs Benita Sena Okity-Duah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ledzokuku, has repeated the call on members and supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain united ahead of elections 2016.

Making the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Teshie on Monday, Mrs Okity-Duah therefore underscored the need for members to bury their differences, and move forward as members of one united family.

“All hands must be on deck, in order to build a strong and united party,” she stressed.

The MP who is seeking to be retained at the party’s parliamentary primary on Saturday, November 7, pledged to do more for her constituents in future.

Mrs Okity-Duah said she had done a lot to bring smiles onto the faces of her constituents, and assured them that she would continue to provide selfless leadership when given the second chance to serve her constituents.

She said she would continue to respect the structures of the party in the constituency, and work closely with the executives to make the party formidable and a force to reckon with.

The MP who is also the Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, said she had the support of the constituents because she was affable, humble, selfless, unifier, easily accessible, and youthful achiever “who understands the needs and aspirations of the people.”

She warned the constituents to guard against politics along tribal lines, because at the end of the day, they all remained as one people with a common destiny to help build a united Ghana.

Mrs Okity-Duah catalogued the number of development projects she had initiated in the constituency since she became the MP about three years ago.

She said the projects which were in the areas of education, health, economics and social, had greatly improved the living standards of the constituents.

The Ledzokuku MP urged the party delegates to retain her on November 7, so that she would continue to deliver on her promises to help better the lot of the constituents.
