Let's work hard towards a decisive victory - Bawumia to NPP supporters

The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on party members to remain united and focused in preparation for the pending general elections, 3news.co has reported.

According to him, this unity would help the party secure a decisive victory in both the presidential and parliamentary races and prevent a tie in parliament.

“It is as important to vote for your parliamentary candidate as it is to vote for me. In order to ensure that the NPP has a clear majority in the next Parliament, you have all seen what has been happening with the close numbers, 137:137, and that is worrying. We don’t want a repeat of that,” he said.

He made this statement while addressing supporters in Nkawkaw on October 19, 2024, during his campaign tour of the constituency.

Dr. Bawumia commended parliamentary candidates and party grassroots members for their hard work, adding that, based on observations during his constituency visits, the NPP is well-positioned to secure a decisive parliamentary majority if elections were to be held today.

“There is no doubt about it. If the elections are held today, the NPP will have a decisive majority. Not just a majority, but a decisive majority in Parliament,” he said.
