Lowdown On MP Backfires

Wed, 18 Aug 2010 Source: --

A motivated ploy to write off the achievements of the Member of Parliament for Kade Constituency, Hon. Ofosu Asamoah has backfired, as investigation has revealed that opponents who find it difficult to unseat the hardworking MP entreated some youth of the Constituency to demonstrate against him to make him unpopular.

The youth who according to media reports want a change disguised themselves as faithfuls of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been exposed as anti NPP sympathisers, to extent that some cannot be traced as constituents.

The MP was recently honoured by the Kade branch of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for his praiseworthy work done so far in the Constituency, including the provision of clinics, markets, schools, libraries, educational materials, and particularly his financial support to poor needy and brilliant students, some of which are now in Medical schools and other tertiary institutions.

Others include the improvement of the road networks in the Constituency, the extension of electricity both solar and the national grid as well as in the Senior High Schools which have seen some new structures.

That notwithstanding, Hon. Ofosu Asamoah played vital role in the establishement of a major Health Centre in the Constituency, and went ahead to dole out GH¢20,000 for generator sets to avoid power failure.
