Normalisation Committee vice president Lucy Quist claims she committed a Freudian slip despite emphatically revealing the contract between Zylofon Cash and the Ghana Football Association is not MISSING.
"There is nothing like that (the missing contract) except there is no league running," Quist said Joy FM's Super Morning Show on Monday.
This was a sharp contradiction between the vice chairperson and the spokesman of the Normalisation Dan Kweku Yeboah who made the revelation on an Accra-based radio station.
It was a colossal embarrassment for the body that has been tasked to normalise football in the country.
Hours later, Mrs Quist took to her Facebook page to repair her words.
She wrote: ''Thank you to everyone who tuned in to hear me on the super morning show on Joy 99.7 FM. I hope the discussion gave some food for thought. There was one error in my submission that I would like to correct. I erroneously said the GFA has the Zylofon contract. The GFA does not. For this error I apologize. I hope this clarifies the matter. Thank you.''
This will go a long way to dent the reputation of the astute business executive who was once managing director for telecommunication giants Airtel Ghana.
Quist has been entangled for misspeaking and now struggling to clear herself.
