MP and MCE for Effutu visit Registration Centres

Winneba, June 16, GNA - About 2,167 people have so far registered at the 42 registration centres in the Effutu constituency in Limited Registration Exercise between June 11 and June 14. Registration officers made this known when the Minister of Transport and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Mr Mike Hammah and the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Nii Ephraim, visited the centres. Mr William Opare in charge of the Nazareth and Mr Kofi Ezeie of the Zion Church registration centres respectively said each centre had registered 220 people as at the time they visited them. At Old Flamingo Registration Centre, the officer, Mrs Mary Bonney said that they have registered 130 people and that that attendance was not encouraging. Mr Hammah and Nii Ephraim appealed to the people who have attained 18 years and those who for some reasons have not registered to register to enable them participate in future elections. Only agents of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Party (NDC) were present at the registration centres. 16 June 10
