Mac manu Urges Jaman Chiefs to support govt

FROM JOEL TANO BADU, DROBO& Japekrom, B/A The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Peter Mac Manu has called on the Chiefs in the Jaman South District to rally behind the N.P.P party to sustian the peace and stability they are enjoying since the NPP came to power to move the country forward . Mr Mac Manu said this when he paid separate courtesy call on the paramount chiefs of Japekrom and Drobo Traditional areas, to introduce himself to them as the newly National Chairman elected for the NPP party .

He said the N.P.P government has adopted the rule of law and good governance, which has made the country to be number one peaceful nation, and therefore urged the chiefs to point out the short-falls of the the government when things are going wrong, to help push the nation farward in peace and unity for development.

The National Chairman advised the people in the area not to entertain violence politicians who were using liars to rode back to power.

He said the NPP is the only party who can make Ghanaians better and assured the Chiefs that NPP government would never discriminate against any tribe in the country .

.He therefore appealed to the chiefs to continue to give the government their moral support for the building of the country.

He commended the people of Jaman South for retaining Mrs. Anna Nyamekye , as the Member of Parliament and Mr John Agyekum Kuffour as the president in the last elections.

On his part, the paramount Chief of the Drobo Traditional Area, Beyeman Bosea Gyinantwi IV appealed to the government through the chairman, to help construct the Drobo , Sampa trunk road to ensure smooth transportation in the district. He expressed concern about the deplorable state of the road which needs immediate action to save human life.

He remainded him that, going into election with an opponent is like Chiefs fighting for a stool, and after one has taking the chair they all have to become one to move the country forward.

The Omanehene later congratulated Mr. Mac Manu for his victory as the National Chairman, advised him to work hard to win more people into the party. Nana Osman Abuakar, the Abusuapanin of the Japekrom - Mpuasu Traditional Area who was the spokesman for the Omanhene since chiefs are not allowed to engage in active politices but were permits to vote his adivised to his people is to rally behind the government.

The National Chairman was accompanied by the Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman, Nana Obiri Boahen, Mr. Apraku Tanoh, DCE for Jaman South, and all the Regional Executives.
