Accra, Oct 24, GNA - The Madina-Abokobi Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday organized a float in Madina Township to introduce Alhaji Amadu Sorogoh as the Party's Parliamentary Candidate for the newly created Constituency. Before embarking on the float, the sympathizers and members of the NDC held a rally at the Social Welfare School in Madina and then drove to the Accra Training College amidst brass band music. The fleet of articulators and ordinary vehicles then drove to the Madina Market. At the Madina Market, the float was cheered by a large number of traders and NDC supporters.
In an interview with GNA, Alhaji Sorogoh said he was definitely going to win in Election 2004.
He said when he elected he would unite the people of Madina. Alhaji Sorogoh said he had noticed the frequent shortage of water in the Township and promised to work hard to solve the water problem. He also promised to establish more schools and libraries in the area. He promised to help brilliant and needy students within the newly created Madina-Abokobi Constituency to continue with their education.
In attendance during the float included, the NDC MP for Adenta-Kpeshie Gonor Constituency, Lt. Col. Kabu Davies, the NDC Constituency Youth Organizer Mr Mohammed Imam and the NDC Constituency Vice-Chairman, Mr P. K. Abbonie
