NPP National Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, has told Ghanaians not to believe President John Dramani Mahama's promise not to cancel the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy implemented by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.

The Free SHS policy, which has been in place since the inception of the current government, has allowed Senior High School students to enjoy free education, significantly easing the burden on parents and guardians in catering to their children's educational needs.

There are recent discussions about enshrining the policy into law, as rumors suggest that a Free SHS bill is to be presented to Parliament.

Commenting on the Free SHS and related issues during Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, Nana Boakye, popularly known as "Nana B," stated emphatically, "Former President Mahama doesn't like Free SHS, and clearly, if they return to power, they will cancel it."

He asserted, "Their (NDC's) behavior and actions show they are against Free SHS."

"If you have observed them, anytime they have the opportunity, they never highlight the positives. It's always the negatives," he added.

Nana B further stressed that regarding the Free SHS bill, "when you listen to the NDC MPs, you can tell they are very jittery."

He concluded, "We plead with you, Ghanaians, to recognize that Mr. John Dramani Mahama will cancel the Free SHS if he returns to power. He does not believe in it. His actions, utterances, and behavior are proof of his disdain for the policy."

"Ghanaians must clearly understand the character of John Dramani Mahama; he's been President before, and he was against Free SHS. He never liked it. He said he wouldn't invest in it. Vote against him. We need someone who will protect it; a party that is prepared to safeguard the Free SHS legacy."
