The New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s United Kingdom chapter has made a case for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's trustworthiness, integrity, humility, and dedication, describing it as compelling.
The chapter contends that the party's presidential candidate possesses superior character, humility, and credibility compared to his political adversary, former President John Dramani Mahama.
Kingsley Adumattah Agyapong, the chairman of the branch, stated that unlike Mahama, who he believes lacks integrity, credibility, humility, and competence, Dr. Bawumia excels in these areas.
In an interview with Rainbow Radio 92.4 FM in the United Kingdom, he expressed that Mahama cannot measure up to Dr. Bawumia, citing significant differences between them.
He asserted that Mahama is conscious of his shortfall in credibility and integrity when compared to Dr. Bawumia.
"Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia holds greater credibility than Mahama. Mahama knows well that Bawumia's credibility surpasses his own. Bawumia is a man of unquestionable integrity. If we were to play old videos of Mahama disrespecting Ghanaians, he would be upset because he disrespected us.
"For instance, he told the citizens of Kumasi that even if he paved their roads with gold, they wouldn't appreciate it.
"But have you ever seen or heard Dr. Bawumia involved in such matters? Mahama is the same person who acknowledged squandering our resources, likening it to chewed meat left with only bones.
"He expended our resources on vehicles for women, chiefs, and pastors across the country, all in an attempt to win an election.
"He was reckless with our resources and mismanaged the economy to the extent of causing 'dumsor.' He ruined the economy, and that's why Ghanaians voted him out of office. I am speaking the truth," he said.
He further stated that Dr. Bawumia has proven to be the people's choice, earning their love and respect for his work.
"Regardless of where Ghanaians are, if they dislike you, they will not vote for you. Dr. Bawumia has undoubtedly shown that he is an exceptional leader, credible, and a man of integrity and competence.
"We cannot say the same about Mahama. What is his record? He should present his record.
"His record includes the Ford Expedition bribery case and the Government Official 1 scandal. Mahama cannot stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Bawumia. In terms of humility, credibility, and integrity, Bawumia outshines by 275 percent," he concluded.
