Mahama’s ‘accounting to the People tour’ scaring NPP – Nketia

The general secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has described NPP’s constant criticism of President John Mahama’s ‘Accounting to the People tour’ as misplaced.

The opposition New Patriotic Party have constantly accused Mahama of abusing incumbency by using state resources to campaign for his party ahead of this year general elections.

But in an interview with Ultimate FM’s Isaac Bediako in Kumasi, Mr. Nketia popularly known as general mosquito said, the aim of the president’s accounting to the people tour is to show the people of Ghana the success chalked by the ruling government.

According to him, the NPP has been shocked by the number of infrastructural projects being undertaken by the Mahama-led administration across the country.

“Those who are accusing the president of abuse of incumbency have misplaced that accusation completely…I am happy they are scared, we demonstrating to the people of physical evidence of projects on the ground.”

Mr. Nketia also denied NPP’s allegation of NDC busing foreigners to register in the ongoing limited voters’ registration exercise especially in border towns.
