The Head of the Campaign Team of Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, NDC Running Mate, has expressed confidence in the party flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama's chances of winning the December 7 polls with ease.
Alex Segbefia explained that Mahama will win the elections 'hands down', adding that the records of the former president far outweigh that of the sitting president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking in an interview with Citi FM's Umaru Sanda Amadu on Thursday, June 20, he stressed the point that most of the head-to-head indicators favour the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader more than they do the opposition NPP.
“… We have a case because there is a direct comparison now. We have a flagbearer who has been president before, has been vice president before. You can compare his record as vice president with the record of the current vice president. You can compare his record as president with the current president.
“He wins hands down. Take all the macroeconomic indicators, tell me in the last seven years, add Kufuor’s years, which hospital has ever been built by the NPP to write home about… Not just health infrastructure. We’ve done well in almost every structure or every portfolio that exists under this current government,” he explained, a citinewsroom.com report said.
