Mahama's return a recipe for disaster – NPP Chairman

The New Juaben North Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang has highly chided former Ghana leader and 2020 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, tagging him as one of African leaders who are greedy.

He stressed that, Mr Mahama could have simply laid back after all the roles he has played in the country.

”Mahama is very greedy. One person who has become an assemblyman, Deputy Minister, Minister, Vice President and a President as well still wants to vie for presidency after losing the 2016 elections,” Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang told Kwaku Dawuro on ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7

“If you look at it through history, any country where a president has come back and it is a non-consecutive term, it has always been a disaster.”

“Akufo-Addo is fortified by the purity of the New Patriotic Party and it is eight years for him. Nothing more, nothing less… and when we get there”

Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang said the comeback of Mahama would be a doom for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections.

He added that he [Mahama] has “cultivated this culture of sycophancy around him who don’t believe in that and he lacks the focus to even think through that practice”.
