The former Deputy Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in charge of operations under erstwhile Mahama Administration, Reverend Joseph Yammin has dared the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Wontumi to make an attempt to stop former President Mahama from campaigning in schools in Ashanti Region.
Former President Mahama who is expected to embark on a campaign tour in Ashanti region in November has received threats from the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known Chairman Wontumi not to campaign in schools during his tour in the region.
It would be recalled that MyNewsGh.com reported weeks ago the Former President John Dramani Mahama challenging the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to arrest him or any other member of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) if they campaign in schools.
His comment follows the invitation of Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Hamidu Akamba by the Police over what they described as r inciting some students of the school against government’s free SHS policy.
Joseph Yammin commenting on Chairman Wontumi statement described Wontumi as empty barrel saying Wontumi cannot stop from President Mahama from campaigning in schools especially KNUST.
According to Joseph Yammin, Wontumi who is noted for bragging will not be in the region or may sleep when Mahama takes his campaign tour to the region because he cannot stand the heat.
“Tell Chairman Wontumi to stop bragging. There is no way bragging Wontumi can stop Mahama from campaigning in schools in Ashanti Region if he is willing to do so. Wontumi is an empty barrel and always make unnecessary noise to get attention. Wontumi will know his size when former president Mahama takes his tour in the region” he said.
