Mr Michael Kwetey Tetteh, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist has vehemently rebutted claims being advanced by some individuals, especially the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that the victory of General Muhamudu Buhari in the recent Nigeria general elections will replicate in Ghana during the 2016 elections.

Speaking to the Crystal Clear Lens over the weekend, the young politician said such assertion by members of the NPP was a self delusion adding that Akufo-Addo, their torchbearer can never win the 2016 elections against the sitting president, John Mahama.

The fiercest contender of the Ningo-Prampram parliamentary seat noted that those claims made by the NPP buddies including their twice defeated flagbearer were born out of a flimsy political propaganda.

"If there is anyone who should cry about General Buhari's victory in the just ended general elections of Nigeria, that person certainly must be the opposition leader in Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo", he stated

The former constituency secretary of the Ningo-Prampram continued that Ghanaian electorate have become too sophisticated to be coerced by the flimsy analyses by members of the NPP that because there is a change of government in Nigeria, same must happen in Ghana in the 2016 crucial elections.

"It is rather sad and pitiful that some people will comfortably jubilating that because Nigerians have voted for Muhamudu Buhari, Ghanaians too will vote for the NPP in the 2016 elections. And the interesting part of it is that those people were rather from the NPP camp. They are only hiding behind these mythical games to plunge the countryinto chaos if they lose the 2016 elections", he remarked.

He noted that the NPP were delusion by the victory of Muhamudu Buhari and are only making empty noise that they will beat the sitting president whom he described as competent, experienced, and knowledgeable.

Mr Kwetey Tetteh therefore advised the opposition to quickly dash aside such shallow and flimsy analyses saying "many Nigerians had had enough of the PDP, which has been in power for 16 years since the end of decades of military rule".

He furthered that Jonathan's inability to stem the Islamist violence in the northeast was incomprehensible to many Nigerians adding "a tipping point was reached when Boko Haram kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls on April 14 last year". This, he said, was one of the factors that led to the downfall of President Jonathan.

He said the Mahama's administration is focusing its cardinal aim on developing the country and working hard within its strength to put the country on the right track for Ghanaians.

He said Akufo-Addo has no chance of becoming the next president of Ghana and warned them to stop the empty and evil propaganda against president Mahama.

According to him, the NPP Communications Team has consistently failed to sell their Torchbearer to the Ghanaian electorate. This, he said was one of the main causes of the defeat staring in their face once again.
