The opposition New Patriotic Party has been warn of dive political consequences should the party maintain the National chairman and general secretary Messrs.’ Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyei Agyapong respectively.
According to the family of the late Upper East Regional chairman of the party who died from an acid attack about two weeks ago, it would be fair for the party to force the two National Executives out of office for proper investigations to take place to find the culprits.
Speaking to Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM on behalf of the family the younger brother of the late Mahama Adams disclosed that his late brother mentioned one Gregory Afoko, who is said to be the younger brother of the National Chairman as one of those who attacked him. Muaza Issakah questioned the leaders of the New Patriotic Party if they could present the National Chairman and General Secretary at the party’s rallies in the Upper East, Upper West and Northern Regions.
Muaza Issaka disclosed that the family has communicated its decision of wanting Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong step aside to the flag bearer, Nana Akuffo Addo.
He noted that the party is likely lose votes of all the Northern Regions should the National Chairman and General Secretary be maintained.
