Manhyia MP-elect commends electorate in the constituency

Kumasi, Dec 18, GNA - Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament-elect for Manhyia, has commended the electorate in the constituency for the massive turn-out during the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections. He said the turn-out in the constituency which secured the highest votes in the country, showed the confidence the electorate have in the NPP and urged them to turn out in even greater numbers to ensure that the party retains power in the December 28 run-off. Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi, Dr Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as "Napo", said the NPP has adopted strategies to ensure total victory and called for a united front among the supporters and foot-soldiers.

Kumasi, Dec 18, GNA - Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament-elect for Manhyia, has commended the electorate in the constituency for the massive turn-out during the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections. He said the turn-out in the constituency which secured the highest votes in the country, showed the confidence the electorate have in the NPP and urged them to turn out in even greater numbers to ensure that the party retains power in the December 28 run-off. Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi, Dr Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as "Napo", said the NPP has adopted strategies to ensure total victory and called for a united front among the supporters and foot-soldiers. He said the eight-year rule of NPP under President Kufuor has propelled Ghana to a higher level in the international community, noting that, the government has provided many social amenities, individual liberty, free medical care and infrastructure development. Dr Opoku Prempeh assured that Nana Akufo-Addo will continue the good works of the NPP government when given the mandate, and urged the people not to listen to the deceptive messages of their opponents. The MP-elect said even though the NPP did not record the one-touch victory as it espoused, victory will still be theirs in the run-off.
