It has emerged that the General Overseer of International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dr. Mensa Otabil in 2008 voted for the late Professor Evans Atta Mills when the country went to the polls to elect a new President.
According to the Former Minister of Power, Dr Kwabena Donkor, the Man of God has been shuttling between the two main political parties; the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“I am a member of International Central Gospel Church, Christ Temple and I argue with Pastor Mensa Otabil more than anybody when we close from church and he has never voted one party throughout”, according to the senior member of the opposition NDC
“Let me tell you a secret, 2008 he voted for Prof. Mills”, the former Power Minister in the previous administration revealed to this reporter, Kwabena Danso-Dapaah

The NDC lawmaker for Pru East in the Brong Ahafo Region who was speaking to TEIN members of the University of Education, Winneba, Kumasi campus said, the party lost power to then opposition NPP because of misguided utterances by some government appointees and party officials against religious leaders.
“We have insulted pastors, religious leaders and everybody. …it is when you have no argument you turn to insult. The insults will not help”, he pointed out admonishing the youth to quit politics of insults.
” We must change our style of campaigning. …we had the power and fed up with it and gave it out it to the NPP. …we the intellectuals must change the way we interact with the people”, Dr. Kwabena Donkor said.
