Saltpond (C/R), Jan. 13, GNA - The Mfantseman West Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the party's victory in the December 7 general elections. The party won both the parliamentary and the presidential elections in the Constituency.
In a statement, the Party's Constituency chairman, Mr James Dennis Ehuren, commended the leadership, as well as the party's foot soldiers for working relentlessly to ensure victory.
Mr Ehuren also commended the new Member of Parliament, Mr Stephen Asamoah Boateng, who won on the NPP ticket, and the District Chief Executive, Mr Robert Quainoo-Arthur, as well as the Party's polling agents, for their support and vigilance during the polls.
He assured them that their efforts would not be in vain, but cautioned activists against over burdening the MP with their personal problems, such as payment of children's school fees and hospital bills. Mr Ehuren said what was important was to support the MP to initiate projects for the benefit of all. "Your pride should be in what the MP is able to achieve for us and not what he has done for individual party members," he added.
