Dr Adams Nuhu, Awutu Senya-East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has appealed to Muslims not to allow partisan politics to divide them, and rather see themselves as one people to facilitate the development of the area.

He said, community where there is division the needed development and growth the people wants never materializes, hence the need for Muslims to put aside their political sentiments and combine their expertise to help better their livelihood.

Dr Nuhu made the appeal at a forum to teach the Koran at the Central Mosque in Kasoa.

The programme is organised annually at the end of the holy month of Ramadan, especially the youth to refrain from all negative tendencies and to lead lives worthy of emulation as the Koran teaches.

The MCE emphasised the need for Muslims to invest hugely in the education of their children for them to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to be useful future leaders in the society.

Alhaji Osuman Abudulia, Chief Imam of Kasoa advised Muslims to live exemplary lives.

Alhaji Adramani Abeeb an opinion leader in the community and also the National Democratic Congress Chairman for Awutu-Senya East Constituency, who chaired the programme, spoke about the need for Muslims in the area to live above reproach and let the teachings and blessings they have received during the Ramadan period reflect on their day to day deeds and activities.

He urged the youth to be circumspect while socialising, adding that, they should remember that Islam is a religion of peace.
