Alhaji Abdallah Ahmed Abdallah, Former Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman of National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on party members to use the 22nd Anniversary of the party to reconcile each other.
Popularly known as “Alhaji PMC,” Alhaji Abdallah appealed to members to use the celebration to apologise to their offended colleagues physically or by phone calls or text messages, for the forward move of the party.
Alhaji Abdallah made the call when he granted an interview to Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday.
He called for peace, unity and commitment among members as the party prepares to elect its national executives.
Alhaji Abdallah said there is the need for the national executives of the party to open their doors to the grassroot supporters and ready to listen to their suggestions.
According to him, this promotes internal democracy and shows the commitment that top hierarchy of the party have respect for the grassroots.
Alhaji Abdallah noted that through the solid foundation laid by the founder and founding fathers of the party, the NDC is the party of choice for Ghanaians and for the party to continue to thread that path, there must be respect for those in the grassroots.
He said Ghana is seeing development under the NDC led by President John Dramani Mahama which he explained is a sign of commitment by the party to improve the living standards of the citizenry.
Alhaji Abdallah said though people are crying “no money” it is a global problem and government is continuing with its development projects in every part of the country to promote economic growth.
He appealed to members of the party especially the executives to desist from making statements that has the tendency to destruct the party attention from planning as the country approaches 2016 for the General Election.
