NDC China-Paga Constituency Elect Executives

Chiana-Paga (U/E), Jan 12, GNA - The Chiana-Paga constituency of the National Democratic Congress that failed to elect its constituency executives on two occasions due to internal rambles has elected new executives.

Swearing them into office the Upper East Regional Minister, Mr. Mark Woyongo, advised the new officersnot to allow their individual interests supersede that of the party and appealed to those who lost the election to support the winners. Mr. James Kojo Kopanemo was elected the Chairman. He polled 131 votes to beat George Aloah Magnus who got 105 votes. The Vice Chairman position was won by Mr. Adenah Asaliba with 126 to beat his opponent Mr. Dominic Abosia who secured 110 votes.

Mr. William Akanyele got 121 to become the Secretary whilst his opponent Azuponga Ayagitem polled 116 votes. The Organizing Secretary position went to Mr. Ken Nchor Atigre with 102 votes whilst Mr. Joseph Apini secured 85. Mr. Adongo Gilbert became the Propaganda Secretary with 143 votes. He beat Mr. Ibrahim Ayamga who got 91 votes.

Ms Martha Ayamga secured 71 votes to emerge as the Women's Organizer whilst Ms Brigit Adongo got 36 votes. The Youth Organizer went to Mr. Abakuri Mohammed. He polled 58 votes to beat his opponent Mr. Amadu Wahab who polled 50 votes. The Treasurer position went to Mr. Joseph Awampaga with 119 votes.

The following people were elected unopposed Mr. Atoagye Sylvester, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Treasurer, Aseore Moses, Deputy Propaganda Secretary, Mr. Minkara Moses, Deputy Organizer, Mr. Aseamo Kwaku and Ms Stella Alatia, Deputy Women's Organizer. 13 Jan 10
