Mr John Mahama, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole and leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign team for the Navrongo Central by-election, on Monday said the party would win a landslide victory in the polls scheduled for Tuesday.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Mr Mahama said the massive participation of party members in floats and other campaign activities had made him optimistic of an NDC victory.
He, however, accused the New Patriotic Party of over-exploiting its incumbency advantage and complained that the Vice President's three-day working visit to the region had hindered the NDC's campaign plans.
He alleged "The police would not permit us to campaign in areas the Vice President went to."
He said in spite of the setbacks it had suffered the NDC was poised to win and appealed to the party's supporters to turn out in their numbers and vote for Mr Clement Bugase the party's candidate for the election.
