The Western Regional Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Jerry Kwabena Kankam, has rallied his party members to overcome complacency and work with passion to retain political power in 2016.
They should do everything to avoid unnecessary distractions and petty internal squabbles.
Making the call through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Bibiani, he said they should focus not only on retaining the party’s parliamentary seats in the region but to substantially increase its share of the presidential votes.
He reminded them that there was no time to waste and asked that they moved from house-to-house to tell the success story of the Mahama Administration.
Mr. Kankam said they needed to help voters to appreciate the good job done by the government and why they must renew its mandate.
He advised the members and supporters to ensure responsible political conduct – do away with intolerance, the use of intemperate language and insults.
That, he noted, was vital to remove political tension as preparations towards the 2016 general elections gathered momentum.
