TheNational Democratic Congress (NDC) Executives and members of the Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region have declared their total support for the candidature of Prof. Joshua Alabi as the person to lead the party as presidential candidate to wrestle political power from the ruling NPP in 2020.

Prof. Alabi has been a Greater Accra Regional Chairman when the party was in opposition and whose efforts brought the party into power in 2008, he demonstrated beyond any doubt that he is a key strategist, crusader and very good team player who can lead the party to wrestle power from the ruling NPP if given the nod as the party's presidential candidate.

The former University for Professional Studies Vice Chancellor who is seeking to be President, is touring the Western Region to sell his ideas to the grassroot ahead of the NDC’s national delegates conference in November.

Although the party members were disappointed in the previous government (NDC) for reneging on its oars to transform their lives through a good relationship, but their hopes in the party got renewed after listening to Professor Alabi’s message of unity and transformation which he envisages will win the NDC power in 2020.

He made this earlier remarks where he interacted with the people in the Constituency on Hope FM.

Prof. Alabi speaking on the radio spoke about the unfortunate situation where the state has not been able to tap into the potential of many coconut trees dominating the area.

He, however, was happy he had travelled to the area, affording him the opportunity to see for himself the many coconut trees in the area which he see as an opportunity to create an industry, provide jobs and contribute meaningfully to the economy through a coconut industry.

"My traveling to this Constituency has afford me a great opportunity to see for myself the many coconut trees in this area which has given me opportunity to establish a coconut factory which will provide jobs and contribute meaningfully to the economy if I have been elected as the next president of this country", he stated.

He, therefore, used the opportunity and appealed to the constituents to reject the NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo in 2020 and vote for the NDC to take the country to the promised land and with this, he said if this would be materialized then, the NDC delegates must elect him to lead the party.
