Accra, May 24, GNA - Diaspora Members for Peace in NDC (DMfP), another group that has emerged in the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has joined calls for peace in the party.
Accra, May 24, GNA - Diaspora Members for Peace in NDC (DMfP), another group that has emerged in the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has joined calls for peace in the party.
The group noted the power struggle between President John Evans Atta Mills and former President Jerry John Rawlings and urged members of the national executives to refrain from taking sides. It said all the party's contributors to radio and television discussions and newspapers must avoid the use of provocative language or insults. The statement urged all party foot soldiers to be patient and concentrate on the good works of the Government while an amicable solution is found to make the party mire united. Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah are challenging President Mills for the ticket of the party.
