The National Chairman of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Nii Allotey Brew Hammond, has urged voters to massively reject the Mills Administration in the coming December general polls for abysmal performance.

He said the worsening economic situation of the people resulting from soaring utility and school fees, high unemployment, mismanagement of resources and corruption, was a clear betrayal of the people.

The government was therefore undeserving of another four-year mandate.

Nii Hammond was speaking at the party’s rally to introduce its parliamentary candidate (PC) for the August 14 Kwabre-West by-election, Mr. John Yaw Asubonteng.

Among those present were the party’s presidential advisor, Mr. Mike Eghan, national and regional executives as well as PCs from Asante-Akim South, Ejisu-Juaben, New Edubiase, Wassa Mpohor, Sekyere Afram Plains and Akim Oda constituencies.

Nii Hammond asked the members and supporters to go from house-to-house to educate the people on the party’s programmes and policies to win them over.

Madam Mary Boakye Boateng, the Second National Vice-Chairperson urged them to remain unwavering and work hard to bring the party to power.

She said it was only the PPP and its flag-bearer, Dr Paa Kwesi Ndoum, who could transform the nation’s economy and restore hope and confidence to Ghanaians.

Mr. Asubonteng pledged to work hard to inject pace into the development of the constituency if voted by the people to represent them in parliament.**
