A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nii Amasah Namoale, has said in interview that National Democratic Congress (NDC) members must register come April 18th.
Speaking to Peace FM, monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Namoale urged the NDC party members to take part in the voters registration exercise when the Electoral Commission (EC) begins.
However, he said the party should challenge the authenticity of the 2020 electoral results if it should lose the elections.
“Nkrumah said no party should ever boycott an election no matter how bad it is and so we will take part and write our names. If we win, fine but if we don’t we will not accept it,” he said.
The NDC, including several opposition parties, have kicked against the EC’s decision to compile a new Voters Register ahead of the 2020 general election.
Under the Inter-party Resistance Against New Voters Register, the group has so far held two demonstrations in Tamale and Kumasi, to press home their demand for the existing register to be maintained.
