The vetting of parliamentary aspirants of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Greater Accra and Volta regions has been postponed, TV3 has gathered.

The vetting for the two regions was originally scheduled to be held on Tuesday, September 29 and Wednesday, September 30.

But reports say the vetting will now come off on Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7 for the Volta and Greater Accra regions respectively.

The nationwide vetting ahead of the party’s primaries on November 7 began on Tuesday, September 22 for aspirants in Eastern, Central, Upper East and Upper West regions.

Northern Region’s – which is the latest – took place at the Tamale Sports Stadium over the weekend.

Relatedly, the party is yet to schedule a date to vet leader John Dramani Mahama, who will contest the primaries unopposed.

A date is expected to be scheduled after the return of the president from the 70th UN General Assembly summit.
