Nominations of Regional Delegates would open on November 1, 2005 and close on November 17, 2005 at 1700 hours.

A statement signed by Mr Nii Vanderpuye, Regional Secretary of the Party, urged all constituencies to complete their respective congresses by Sunday October 30, 2005.

The statement said the decision to hold the congress was taken at the NDC's Regional Extended Executive Committee meeting to discuss preparations and activities towards the regional congress. The statement said nominations for regional youth and women's congress would open on November 1, 2005 and close on November 10, 2005, adding that the regional youth and women's conference would be held on November 12, 2005.

It said members unanimously pledged to continue with the ongoing branch organization exercise and elections to meet the National Secretariat's deadline for the National Congress in December 2005. The Regional Executives advised the constituency operatives to show transparency and fairness in the conduct of the branch elections and other processes to avoid rancour and acrimony, before, during and after the congresses.
