+++++ The Ashanti regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has lent its fullest support to the forging of an electoral alliance and merger with opposition forces to oust the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in 1996.
These revelations were contained in a resolution passed at its annual delegates conference held at the National Centre for Culture in Kumasi recently.
According to the resolution, there must be a National Congress of our party in August 1995 to elect the National Executive and a Presidential candidate to lead the party as demanded by the party Constitution and as resolved at the 17 December 1994 National Delegates Conference in Accra.
Also, the NPP should not be seen to be throwing its own principles as that may send wrong signals to both political opponents and potential allies.
