NPP Chairman says members can express their views freely

Juapong (V/R), Aug 02, GNA - Mr Peter Mac Manu, National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), at the weekend said the party remained committed to the free flow of views on issues within the party and the no opinions would be stifled.

He therefore urged members of the party to speak up their views without fear.

Mr Mac-Manu was addressing a durbar of chiefs and people of the North-Tongu District, organised by the Doufor Youth Association to honour Mr Moses Asem, the District chief Executive,) and Mr Charles Hodogbey, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, both citizens of Dorfor Traditional Area.

He said the party was not closed to anybody and would receive all well-meaning new members.

Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, said no honest observer would deny the fact that the NPP government's policies had created a huge positive impact on national growth.

He said Ghanaians had experienced governance of the main political parties, the National Democratic Congress and the NPP and could tell which of the two was more successful.

Mr Kofi Dzamesi Volta Regional Minister who was made a Development Chief of the area under the Stool name Togbe Duawotor I, pledged to ensure that all areas of the region got their fair share of development projects.
