The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is set to commence the second phase of his nationwide constituency campaign tour starting from the North East Region on Wednesday.

This phase will concentrate on the 276 constituencies across the 16 regions, aiming to engage with grassroots supporters and sympathizers of the party and to garner the support of every citizen.

In the North East Region, Dr. Bawumia will visit the Nalerigu-Gambaga, Yunyoo, and Bunkprurugu constituencies, promoting his vision titled "Bold Solutions for our Future," with #Itispossible as the campaign slogan.

This information was part of a statement released by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, in Accra.

Additionally, Dr. Bawumia will introduce the various parliamentary candidates of the party to the constituents.

The NPP Flagbearer concluded the first phase of his nationwide campaign tour in the first week of June, during which he engaged with religious leaders, labor unions, professional associations, traders, market queens, and youth groups.

He shared his vision for the country, contingent upon his election as the President of the Republic. Dr. Bawumia reiterated his intention to implement a flat tax rate in 2025, following the provision of tax amnesty to every individual in the country.

Regarding the stabilization of the Ghana cedi against further depreciation, he stated that the Bank of Ghana (BoG), with its adequate gold reserves, would provide stability to the currency.

His government plans to ensure that all gold concessions are owned by Ghanaians, with the processed gold being sold to the Central Bank to bolster the country's reserves.

The Geological Survey Authority and technical universities will be resourced to explore the seven gold belts in the country, ensuring that the gold concessions yield positive results.

Dr. Bawumia also reiterated his plans to establish a Minerals Development Bank to assist small-scale miners in obtaining funding for their businesses, noting that the sector could generate three billion dollars annually.

In terms of fiscal discipline, the NPP Flagbearer assured that his administration would ensure the Fiscal Responsibility Council operates independently with oversight responsibility over the Ministry of Finance.

He committed to reducing his government's expenditure by three percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), amounting to approximately GH₵30 billion every year.

Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed his commitment to appointing no more than 50 ministers in his administration. On constitutional matters, the NPP Flagbearer pledged to review Article 87 of the 1992 Constitution and the National Development Planning Commission Act (Act 479) to align with the nation's development aspirations.

He firmly believes that innovative ideas, well-structured systems, and efficient institutions are essential for transforming a country.

The campaign's theme is "Bold Solutions for our Future," and the slogan is #Itispossible.
