Dominic Eduah, the Deputy National Youth Organizer and leading aspirant for the National Youth Organizer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) filed his nomination to contest the position of the National Youth Organizer at this year’s National Delegates conference yesterday.
He presented his documents at the party head office amidst much jubilation by a mammoth crowd of NPP youth activist who marched with him from the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange to the party head office.
It will be recalled that Dominic Eduah picked his nomination forms on Thursday and filed it today. Asked why he picked the forms on a low key, he explained that “the picking of forms was not to be eventful as it signaled nothing as significant as the filing of nomination because that is the real deal.” He indicated further that “many have picked forms in the past but failed to do what really matters which is filing nominations.” He therefore deemed it a botched strategy for one to make noise about the picking of forms.
In an address to his supporters from the balconies of the NPP headquarters, he stressed the need to change course and strategize from the Sammy Awuku era albeit a continuation agenda for the future success of the NPP. For him, the strategies for success when one is in opposition is completely different from the strategies for success when one is in government. He promised to use his rich experience as a deputy youth organizer to galvanize and bolster the youth wing towards victory beyond the 2020 elections.
Asked about his approach towards achieving his goal of getting the NPP towards victory beyond 2020, he said his will be to “Strategize, Mobilize and Execute”.
Present with Mr. Dominic Eduah were Mr. Hopeson Adoye, Head of National Security at the Ghana Airport Company and a party stalwart. Mr. Emmanuel Effah, NPP stalwart, Mr. Abdul Ganiyu Mohammed, The Regional Organizer of the Western Ragion, Mr. Moses Abor The Greater Accra Youth Organizer, and Constituency Youth Organizers and their deputies as well as TESCON Presidents from notable tertiary institutions. Many of them declared their support for Dominic in brief speeches at the event. In their speeches, they stressed his humility, affability and hard work.
The delegate’s conference, originally scheduled for the 16th of June this year was postponed to 7, 8 and 9 July due to the Ramadan fast.
Dominic Eduah is one of the three aspirants in the race for the National Youth Organizer Position and the youth organizer race in particular, promises to be a heated race.
