NPP Primaries: Dominic Nitiwul to be vetted via phone

Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bimbilla constituency in the Northern Region, Hon. Dominic Aduna Bingab Nitiwul will today be vetted via telephone due to some precautionary measures, MyNewsGh.com has filed.

National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammi Awuku who confirmed this to MyNewsGh.com, said the Minister is unable to be present over unexplained reasons compelling the committee to do that on phone.

Mr Sammi Awuku and National 3rd Vice Chairman Mr. Micheal Omari Wadie among other committee members, are in the Northern Region to vet all 22 aspirants beginning today March 4, 2020.

The first batch of parliamentary aspirants included the Minister, Dominic Nitiwul who is going unopposed, MP for Savelugu Mohammed Somed Gunu, Habib Iddrisu, Wahab Suhuyini Wumbei, Jaagbo Baako, Mohammed Zakaria, Amama Sayibu, Thomas D Ogaja-Wulensi, Abdulai Haruna, Hardy Tuferu and Kamaldeen Abdulai.

According to the Northern Regional Secretary of the NPP Alhaji Sibdow Alhassan Yakubu, Mathew Nyindam for Kpandai, Farouk Aliu Mahama for Yendi, Abibata Mahama for Yendi, Osman Baba Daney for Yendi, Ziblim Iddi for Gushegu, Mahama Osman for Gushegu, Hardy Adams for Gushegu, Charles Bintim for Saboba, Emmanuel M Kotin for Saboba, Jawol Binam Abraham for Saboba and Kayil Banab also Saboba will be vetted on Thursday March 5, 2020.

Meanwhile of the Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Mohammed Baantima Samba has warned that aspirants who misconduct themselves without recourse to the rules of engagement stand the risk of being disqualified from partaking in the primaries.

“There shall be no busing of supporters to the venue of the vetting and that only the APCs and their drivers will be allowed entry to the venue.

The party in the region is wide awake and would not spare any candidate who flouts the rule of engagement.

APCs are further reminded that the party reserves the right to disqualify any parliamentary aspirant who fails to abide by the rules and regulations spelt out in the nomination forms”, he said in a statement copied to MyNewsGh.com
