The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has accused the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as an organization, bereft of ideas in managing the Ghanaian economy.
He observes that the NPP is not showing any signs it is a properly constituted party citing its inability to launch a campaign manifesto barely three months to a general election as an example of an unserious party.
“They have no plan for Ghana and that is why I keep saying the NPP is a ‘No Plan Party’. This whole NPP things is just a No Plan Party”, he said.
According to him, anyone would have expected that as the largest opposition party which is mostly considered the alternative to the current government, there would have been policies and programmes outdoored for Ghanaians to see if they are convincing enough but the NPP seem indifferent.
Mr. Anyidoho said these were all manifestations of a party which is disarray and will translate its confusion into management of affairs of the country if they are allowed to govern by the electorate.
“They have not put out their manifesto yet claim somebody had plagiarized it. In essence you are claiming someone broke into their heads and has taken their thoughts. The very thoughts you organized a press conference to condemn ridiculing yourselves and making it look like you are all empty heads”, he intimated.
Speaking at the Northern Regional NDC Campaign Launch at Bimbilla in the Nanumba North District, he alleged the NPP has a record of truncating good developmental projects in the country and if given the opportunity will collapse country entirely.
“If they had continued from the good policies and projects Rawlings started, the country will not be experiencing energy crises but instead, Kufuor gave a drill ship to KT Hammond to go and sell.
That is why we now have energy problems and I am convinced John Mahama will fix it”, he added.
