The leadership of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Friday advised party followers to exercise patience as it contests the outcome of Election 2012 at the Supreme Court.

It emphasised that the party had concrete and solid evidence to win the verdict and entreated members to close their ranks and file and ensure a united front.

Dr Mahammudu Bawumia, NPP’s running mate to the flag bearer in the 2012 general elections, gave the advice when he briefed Brong-Ahafo Regional and Constituency executives on proceedings at the Supreme Court at Abesim, near Sunyani.

He told the executives that with its gathered documented evidence, the party expected that the Supreme Court would come out with the verdict on the electoral dispute within two months.

He said according to information gathered from 2,283 polling stations, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, the party's presidential candidate, won by 59.6 percent as against 39.1 percent of President John Dramani Mahama.

Mr Jake Otanka Obestebi Lamptey, NPP’s National Chairman, entreated followers and members to remain loyal and resolute as the party leadership was pursuing a “wining battle”.
