Alhaji Moctar Bamba, National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has asked party supporters and polling agents to be vigilant and prevent electoral fraud in election 2012.
He warned that any laxity or complacency on the part of NPP members could be costly for the party in December.
Alhaji Bamba was speaking at the launch of the party’s electioneering campaign in the Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo Constituency at Kwamang in the Ashanti region.
He appealed to party members to woo the electorate to return the NPP to power in December 7.
The Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Kwame Osei Prempeh, asked the people to ignore the desperate attempts by NPP political opponents to discredit the free Senior High School promise made by the party’s presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He said education was a priority for the NPP and the party would do everything possible to develop the country's human capital.
Mr. Osei Prempeh appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP to improve their standards of living.
Mr. Kwadwo Okyere Mpiani, a former Chief of Staff, introduced the party’s parliamentary candidate for the area, Mr Kwame Asafu-Adjei.
Mr. Mpiani appealed to the electorate to vote for the NPP in December.
