NPP IS GRATEFUL FOR A SUCCESSFUL POLLING STATION PRIMARIES AND PREPARES TO HOLD ELECTORAL AREA COORDINATORS' ELECTIONS

The NPP wishes to extend its gratitude to the rank and file of the party particularly those who played diverse roles in the just ended successful polling station primaries of the party which came off between January 17 to 21, 2018. The primaries recorded over 94% success rate and this, the party finds, gratifying. A "mop-up exercise" was conducted to make up for polling stations that had some challenges.

The party has noted with delight, the maturity with which all stakeholders including aspirants and their supporters respected the rules of engagement and for that matter the guidelines that governed the conduct of the primaries and wishes to commend them for same.

The party also congratulates all the successful candidates and hopes that they are able to discharge their mandate effectively and thus strengthen the polling station structures of the party which invariably forms the very foundation of the party.

Having successfully completed the polling station elections, the party is now set to hold Electoral Area Primaries to elect Electoral Area Coordinators. This is scheduled to begin on Friday, 26th January to Monday, 29th January across all the over 5000 Electoral Areas in the country.

For emphasis, the Electoral College for the Electoral Area Coordinators' elections shall comprise all the five elected polling station executives from each polling station within the Electoral Area as well as the incumbent Electoral Area Coordinator.

The party once again, anticipates the maximum cooperation of all stakeholders in this important exercise and wishes all aspirants the best of luck while admonishing them to abide by the rules and regulations that had been issued.

Thank you.
