NPP primaries: Assibey Yeboah responds swiftly to hospital’s SOS request

The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Dr.Mark Assibey Yeboah has donated hundred pieces of bedspread with pillows and hundred pieces of durable plastic Chairs to the Female Surgical Ward of the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua.

Receiving the items, the In-Charge of the Female Ward -Deputy Director Nursing Service (DDNS) Dorothy Takyi commended the MP for the swift response to their request.

She urged philanthropists to come to the aid of the facility particularly by supporting patients struggling to foot their medical bills after surgery.

Chairman of the Campaign team of the Legislator, Michael Oteng Adu, said the donation is just a microcosm of investments made in healthcare to improve quality healthcare delivery in the Municipality through the Lawmaker’s share of the MPs Common fund adding that, a lot of Kindergarten infrastructure have been completed whilst others ongoing in his determination to enhance early childhood education.

Responding to allegations of incompetence and selfishness leveled against Dr. Assibey Yeboah, the Campaign Manager said party internal election is not about noise making rather direct engagement with the delegates, therefore, all the funfair by his contender is needless.

According to him, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah’s competence is evident by his immense contributions to parliamentary business and that of the economy of the country.

He said Dr. Assibey Yeboah “is one the best Parliamentarians Ghana has ever produced bearing in mind his maturity in debate on the floor of parliament and also having worked hard and served as chairman for the finance committee in parliament and also on Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committee”.

He described the upcoming parliamentary contest as “easiest”, since most delegates have reaffirmed their trust in the competence and leadership qualities of the MP.

“We are confident that this election will be the easiest one for us because MP is a very solid parliamentarian and his works have also been clearly seen by the constituents”.

Dr.Mark Assibey Yeboah seeking a third term parliamentary tenure is keenly being challenged for the second time by the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Free Zones Authority, Micheal Okyere Baafi.

Out of a total of 582 qualified delegates in the constituency, 569 are expected to partake in the parliamentary primary.
