The Minister of Education Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum , has praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for prioritizing teachers' welfare, citing significant investments in the education sector.

Speaking at the 2024 Ghana Teachers Prize held at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr Adutwum emphasized that the NPP government has consistently put teachers at the forefront of policies and engagements.

He highlighted the stark contrast with previous administrations, which had failed to prioritize teacher welfare, even neglecting to honor teacher awards

In contrast, the current NPP government has made massive investments in education, encouraging teachers to contribute more to the country's development.

Dr Adutwum urged Ghanaians to recognize the NPP government's unprecedented work in education and re-elect them to continue their progress.

He emphasized that investing in education is crucial for transforming Ghana's fortunes and ensuring a brighter future for its youth.

"The President has chosen to invest in education to transform the nation's fortunes," Dr Adutwum noted. "Ghana loses if we fail to educate the youth. Paying fees at the SHS level will only give the rich opportunities to grade A schools, depriving poor students of good education infrastructure."
