A Deputy Minister of Information, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has said that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) should not brag with road constructions in the Kumasi townships despite the region being their stronghold.
According to him, natives in Kumasi can testify to the tremendous constructions by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during President John Jerry Rawlings’s era.
He noted that the NPP cannot vaunt of any Kumasi town road during its ruling. Adding that, their records are terrifying.
“Everyone in Kumasi knows about this. In terms of Kumasi town roads record, the NPP has the most appalling record. Kumasi town road constructions were started during Rawlings [ex-president] regime.
Late President Mills did his best and President John Mahama is continuing,” he said.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Felix Kwakye Ofosu stated that, much emphasis must be based on the good works the President is undertaking in the Ashanti region.
He, however, opined that discussions in the media on the President’s assertion that the people of Kumasi are not “appreciative” with any development by the NDC government are “unfortunate”.
