Ahamahama (Ash.) Nov.6 GNA---The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Sampson Kwaku Boafo, said on Wednesday that the NPP would not use any force to win the December general elections.

"We are just appealing to Ghanaians to judge the good works the government had done within this relatively short period and vote the NPP to power again", he said.

Mr Boafo, who was addressing the people of Asarekrom, Dwendanba and Ahamahama all in the Adansi South District indicated that the politics of lies and deceit were no more.

"It is an insult for politicians to give you few cedis for you to vote for them", the Regional Minister said.

He again advised the people to avoid voting on ethnic lines, adding, "Don't let us vote on lines of relations, beauty and what have you".

Mr. Boafo told the people who are predominantly cocoa farmers to reciprocate what the Kufuor government had done for them by voting for the President for another four-year term.

"Since the 1992 Constitution guarantees an eight-year term for a sitting President, Ghanaians should give Kufuor another four-year term," he said.

The Regional Minister said President Kufuor was committed to the rule of law, good governance and fair distribution of the national wealth and that had promoted fast development in the country. "Now the country has seen a lot of development during the NPP government", Mr. Boafo said.

The Regional Minister, who was accompanied by Mr D.A.K. Yeboah, the Adansi South District Chief Executive and some party executives used the occasion to introduce the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the New Edubiase Constituency, Mr. Francis Dorpenyoh to the people.
